Turquoise and Aqua Inspiration board

I like the colors and patterns used with these Pantone colors. Pantone 7461 which is a "turquoise" color looks great with the model's red lipstick and the tones in her skin and hair. Maybe you'd like to consider these color combos in your next project.

These are the tones that I picked: Pantone 7461, 4685, 703, and 497 respectively.

 

Pantone 5473 and 437 respectively on the women's top on the bottom right corner.

Pantone 570 and 611 are a great combo in the pillow.

 

Purple inspiration board

Purple is so underused in design. It looks great with so many colors. It can be playful or sophisticated. It looks great paired with turquoise, hot pink, yellow, brown, orange—so many colors! The Hallmark card in the upper left corner was one of my favorites. It was the inspiration for my purple inspiration board.

Inspiration board—Orange variations

I've been dazzled by orange and its many variations for a few years now. At first, I thought it would be a trendy color that I would love, and then it would go away, but it hasn't. I think it's here to stay (LOL. I really wasn't trying to rhyme). It's still the highlight of my office space décor. From tangerine orange to burnt and red-oranges to terracotta, I really love orange!

Olive inspiration board

These olive tones look great with chocolate brown, taupe, and rouge tones. Ahhh...Paris!

Black and white inspiration boards

Black and white—two strikingly contrasting colors when put together. They can represent simplicity or can be very daring. Here are some images that I collected of the two colors. There are lots of great textural images that may inspire a background, logo, package shape, or anything else you create. Click on the images to see them larger.

Inspiration board–Red

Red– a fiery color that doesn't go unnoticed. It is the color of excitement, energy, passion, and definitely has attitude.

Indigo inspiration board

This is one of my favorite colors! Ok, so maybe I say that about every color, but what I love about indigo is that it is one of those colors that makes me think tropics.

Inspiration board–brown

Brown has been a very popular color in the past few years, and it remains so today. The popularity of coffee has brought more attention to this overlooked, beautiful color. It is natural, comforting, and it goes with anything. It is popular in home decor, clothing, and accessories.

Pantone 512

Pantone 512 is the inspiration for this page. The first item I saw that showcased this color—well, close to it—was the bedspread (with colorful pillow) you see in the north central part of the collage. It's a color that you don't see much of, but should definitely be considered more in design. I think that this color works well with so many other colors. It's very appetizing! Its a color that seems a little bitter, a little sweet, kind of like cran-grape juice!
